Makati Wedding: Vive Hotel - National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe - Vive Hotel
Ms. Thrixee
Feb 15, 2014
Hotel: Vive Hotel
Church: National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Reception: Vive Hotel
It is the first time that we met a client who is the "Father of the Bride". Made me recall the movie of Steve Martin, of the same title. Mr. Erwin, dad of Ms. Thrixee, took care of the inquiry, submission of requirements, payments and coordination with us. He was cool and relaxed on the day of his daughter's wedding, compared to the frantic and sometimes hurried look in the faces of other coordinators and friends of brides that we had worked with before. Do you think he would be perfect for a job of wedding coordinator? :)
Vive Hotel is not hard to find as it is right beside Makati City Hall. It is a small hotel and good for intimate parties.
National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is just 15 minutes drive from Vive Hotel and is a beautiful old church.
Reception is back at Vive Hotel for the wedding celebration.

Pasig Wedding: Astorial Plaza - Santa Clara de Montelfalco - Riverfront Residences
Ms. Susana Karmela
Feb 8, 2014
Hotel: Astoria Plaza
Church: Santa Clara de Montefalco
Reception: Riverfront Residences
This is another celebration that we handled where the groom was so hands-on during the wedding day. The groom, Mr. John Randell, took care of ensuring that his bride gets to the church safely. He even called us to say "Pakihintay po. Kayo na po bahala sa bride ko". Even in the middle of the busyness of the day, the groom had kept his bride in his mind. That's definitely a statement from a caring and loving husband that Ms. Susana Karmela is very lucky to have (I hope she's reading this).
Astoria Plaza is a modern Full Service Residential Hotel. It has a spacious driveway and courteous and polite attendants - one of them even assisted us in contacting Mr. John Randell and helped us mount the bouquet to the bridal car. If this is how they treat strangers like us, I'm sure they provide an excellent service for their checked-in guests.
Santa Clara de Montefalco is quite a distance from Astoria Plaza. It is a good thing that our chauffeur is very knowledgeable on the road and was able to dodge heavy traffic. It was inside a compound and when we saw the church, we were amazed by it's beauty! The church was elevated, the driveway leading to the entrance of the church was like a staircase - photos taken here must look so dramatic! I wonder how it looked at night! The inside of the church was also grand. You should go and see for yourself. It's beauty is beyond words.
Riverfront Residences is actually a DMCI Residential Condominium. It is not the typical pavilion where wedding receptions are usually held. But just like other DMCI communities, when you are inside, it gives you a warm feeling of home and you feel relaxed. I had attended seminars/workshops in Rosewood Pointe and Tivoli Gardens, both are DMCI communities, and I love their SkyLounges! It's as if you are on top of the world and you can see everything and perhaps predict what is going to happen below you.
Our chauffeur reported that one of the couple's relatives had given him dinner from the reception. He was touched with the gesture. Thank you to that relative, Ms. Susana Karmela and Mr. John Randell for your generosity. Good people are a bountiful in the Philippines.
